These system requirements are for a local installation of MS SQL on the same machine as PHDwin. These requirements do not support a local area network instance installation, a wide-area network instance installation, or hybrid cloud deployment.

PHDwin V3 ships with Microsoft SQL Server 2025 Express. You can also use an existing SQL Server instance. Click the Database icon to download.
If the size of your data sets grows, you may need to upgrade your hard disk
To ensure optimal performance, increase memory as the size of the database grows.
Windows 10 (64 bit) or newer.
PHDwin requires a monitor with a minimum screen resolution of 1920×1080. Higher resolutions are recommended for optimal display.
ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server, .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.8.1 (both required), and Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable. Earlier ODBC drivers and SQL Server Native Client are not supported.
